Christmas Card Photo Shoot

First, I am SO sorry for such a long hiatus - 2 months with no posts is entirely too long! I'll blame it on me - but I think I have a good excuse. We found out right around the last post that Bella is going to be a big sister - to the 2-legged variety! She seems to know that something is up - she is glued to my side all the time, and is always right there making sure I'm okay. I've been super-tired, and haven't been able to stay up past 8 in the evening most nights, so the blog has fallen by the wayside. I'm getting my energy back now, so you'll all get to see more of Bella again.

Here are some pics from our Christmas Card photo shoot last weekend...she was a good sport about the whole thing, and we got some good shots.

We hope you and yor families are having a great holiday season!

It's Fall!

Mom and dad took me to a fall festival this past weekend! I'd never been to a place like this before - there were lots of kids playing games, riding rides, and there was even a petting zoo! I had so much fun and met so many people that day - it was great!

When we got there, I posed in front of pumpkins.

Then mom, dad and I all posed for a family portrait. Cheese! Or, should I say, Pumpkins!

There was a booth with some of those horse-things like I saw on vacation! My little cousin wanted to ride one, so I stood guard to make sure they were nice to her. They were - I think it was because of me.

I had to get a closer look just to make sure...

Oh yeah - I even had a doggie cookie shaped like a ghost, but I ate it before mom could get a picture. Let me just tell you - it was good! What a fun day!

Vacation Wrap-up

Here are some of my favorite memories from the rest of my vacation. I can't wait to go back again!

I got sandy...

I played...

And I napped - with Jackson...

and without...

I loved going on vacation so much - I can't wait to do it again!

Vacation! Day 3

Hi! It's day 3 of vacation, and you know what that means - another tough day of lounging at the beach. I was pooped after my early-morning beach romp, so dad moved the umbrella so I wasn't in the hot sun during my nap:

It was time for more posing when I got up. First, just me and the ocean:

Then, since I love mom and dad, and they were nice enough to bring me on vacation, I let them get in the picture, too:

After another awesome day on the beach, we came back up the house to relax by the pool. We had a visitor waiting for us when we got there - you guessed it, another horse-thing. I got a boost so I could see better:

Aaah, another awesome day of vacation draws to a close. Is it time to eat yet?

From the humans: We'd love to thank Sasha and Max over at a Dane's World and Huey at Hawaiian Dane for giving us this awesome award! Thanks, guys (and gals) - we love your blogs, too! We'd like to pass this along to Bogart and Malu. While they're not danes (and one isn't even a dog), we really like their blog (and their humans!), and we think you will, too.

Vacation! Day 2

When we woke up the next morning, we saw these things right outside our house:

Mom and dad said they were called horses. They looked big!
After breakfast, we went down to the beach! I played with dad in the water

and then he took my friend Jackson for a run. I think they both liked it!

I took a break to pose for pictures

and then Jackson & I took a nap.

When I woke up, those horse-things were back, so dad and I decided to go check them out.

I don't think they liked me too much, so we came back to the house and hung out by the pool.

Aaaah, vacation - I could so get used to this!

Vacation! Day 1

I'm sorry for the long absence, but it was for a good reason - I was on vacation! Yup, I went on my first ever real vacation to the beach with mom and dad and some of their friends (both the 2-legged and 4-legged varieties). We went to a place called the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and I sure did like it.

Ready to go!
Are we there yet?

We had to drive through something called a Tropical Storm to get there. It was pretty windy and rainy, but it didn't bother me too much. When we got there, here's what our beach looked like:

But then the sun came out!

Mom and I took a walk on the beach. I really liked the sand and the smell of the ocean. I can't believe we get to play here for a whole week.

Playtime Again!

Remember my friend Malu? She came back with her mom for another playdate last weekend! We had lots of fun again!
We wrestled

Played tug of war

Ran around outside

And then we were thirsty, so we shared some water

And got a treat since we were such good girls.

Thanks for playing with me, Malu! See you again soon!
